Mission
OMNI will provide the focus and resources needed to promote research, education, and technology in critical areas of nanoscience at the U of M and across the state of Minnesota.
Research Programs
OMNI research programs include:
- DNA and bio-nanotechnology
- Biomedical nano-devices and bio-nanomachines
Technical Scope
The technical scope of OMNI will encompass areas of current U of M strength, such as nanoparticle research and self-assembled molecular materials, together with emerging areas of anticipated growth, such as bio-nanotechnology and molecular electronics, thereby providing for both a near-term and a long-term impact on state industries.
